TIPS FOR FAMILIES
-
Plan your trip and choose graded trails with the right level of difficulty. For families, we recommend green and blue trails.
-
Trails with green grading are suitable for beginner riders. Blue graded trails are suitable for riders with some riding experience.
-
Green and blue graded trails can be ridden with a regular mountain bike. A suspension fork is not a must, but can provide a better sense of mastery.
-
Make sure your bike is in good condition and that the brakes in particular are working optimally. If in doubt - ask a qualified bicycle mechanic.
-
Start your trip as close to the trail as possible. Long and boring transportation routes can kill the motivation of the little ones before the fun has begun.
-
Start out carefully! Choose shorter rides and do more laps instead. The length and ambition level can be increased as your riding skills improve.
-
Take plenty of breaks. Keep water and some chocolate in your backpack.
