SAFETY
We want mountain biking to be as safe as possible for all riders visiting Hallingdal. That's why it's important that you familiarize yourself with the local rules and choose challenges according to your skill level. However, if you are unlucky and you or someone in your group group is injured and needs help, you must contact the emergency services on 116 117.
We also recommend that riders download the "Help 113" app on their phone.

1. Ride at your own risk
-
All mountain biking in nature is associated with a certain amount of risk.
Respect other trail users
-
The rider must avoid causing damage or inconvenience to other users, the environment and wildlife. Slow down when encountering other riders and trail users.
3. Adjust your speed according to the conditions
-
Take into account your own skills and unforeseen events. Take it easy on your first ride and get to know your equipment and the trail.
4. Obey signs and markings
-
Familiarize yourself with trail and grading descriptions. Choose trails according to skill level. Follow the recommended direction of travel where applicable.
5. Slower riders have the right of way
-
The rider approaching from behind is responsible for avoiding collisions. Take particular care when entering or crossing a trail.
6. Never stop on the trail
-
Never stop in narrow places and places with limited lines of sight. If you are on foot on established bike trails, you must pay particular attention.
7. Always use safety equipment
-
Helmets are mandatory and other safety equipment is recommended. Always make sure the bike is in good condition. Check brakes, suspension and wheels.
8. Take care of the trail
-
Avoid unnecessary wear on the trail. Do not lock the rear wheel. Natural trails are particularly vulnerable and are also used by other user groups. Show special precaution.
