Nesfjellet is now deleoping a brand new lift-assisted bike product. New trails are now being built for both beginners and experienced riders - and you don't have to pedal up again. This means that Nesbyen is set to become an even more complete riding destination!
It will be a gathering point for all cycling enthusiasts - and especially for those who like to go round, round, round...
With its opening on July 5, Nesfjellet marks the start of a new cycling chapter in Hallingdal. A compact network of floating trails and gravity trails is now being built around the Tyrihans T-bar lift, tailor-made for biking with a traction lift. There will be green family and beginner trails, a blue park trail, a Junior Gravity Zone and a red trail for the more experienced. The goal is clear: To create an inclusive and consistent offering for all levels.
- "This is something we've been dreaming about for a long time. Both the timing and the support were right, and the response has been incredibly positive," says project manager Kenneth Helgestad from Nesfjellet.

Unique offer in the region
Nesfjellet will be the first bike park in Hallingdal to use a traction lift fitted with an "easyloop" for bicycle transport (Høgevarde will also open a traction lift with the same system later this summer), and the project is an important step towards year-round tourism in the mountains. At the same time, it strengthens the link between Hallingspranget, the shuttle services and the ever-growing trail biking scene in Nesbyen.
- With a lift, you get more laps on your bike - and the family can be together in a clear area all day. It's an offer that was missing here, and we're looking forward to opening the gates.
Behind the project is a dedicated trail building team with solid experience from both Nesbyen and international projects.
The lift will be in operation from July 5 - and work will continue throughout the summer.
