Blueberry Jam

Blueberry Jam is one of Europe's longest trails built for trail biking. It was designed and constructed by Australia's World Trail and is considered the flagship of Høgevarde Trail Centre's trail network.

The trail starts midway along the Forkbeard trail (757 m) and winds 13 km down to the valley floor (160 m). Blueberry Jam is also part of the larger concept The Hero Trail, which starts at the very top of Høgevarde Fjellpark (981 m) and continues down via various trails.

Blueberry Jam is an Adventure/Wilderness-style trail that largely incorporates elements of a flow trail, but with a greater focus on utilizing the natural terrain by following the contours. In general, the trail has fewer processed elements through its natural design, with no intimidating or dramatic elements, but it still allows the rider to be creative in their riding style, with natural challenges and less risk. This approach to trail building makes it an outstanding introductory trail for riders of all abilities, encouraging skill development amidst the raw, natural beauty.

About the trail:
- Approximately 150 meters of climbing, 1000 meters of descending
- Surface: dirt, fine gravel, tree limbs and rocks
- Difficulty: Blue, with some black options (dark blue)

Access:
Shuttle bus runs in season.
