Den Ravinde

Nesbyen

"Norway's best trail?" Terrengsykkel magazine asked when they visited Nesbyen in 2019. This is definitely a must-try for all dedicated riders.

The first machine-built downhill trail in Nesbyen - and one of the country's toughest trails. Large dosages, some jumps, drops and generally very good flow. Approximately in the middle of the upper section, you'll find "Fjellinjen" with many alternative lines. Incidentally, there are alternative lines in several places, and all demanding elements can be avoided. That's why "Den Ravinde" is also an option for families with slightly older children who have good cycling skills. We recommend that you always roll the trail carefully the first time to familiarize yourself with all the technical elements.

When you get down to the gravel road, the trail continues down the open logging field. The trail gradually becomes gentler, and the last few hundred meters before ending at the asphalt road (Vassfarvegen) are graded blue.

What does the name mean? "Den Ravinde" means "The quick one" in the local dialect (Halling).
