The weather was good and cyclists of all ages made the trip to Gol this weekend for the second round of the Hallingdal Pumptrack Series. The pumptrack in the center of Gol is the fastest in the series. With dry conditions and some of the country's fastest and toughest pumptrack cyclists in place, everything was set for a highly dramatic pumptrack sprint - at the same time as the smallest and freshest cyclists got to rule the pumptrack and enjoy the world's best combination: biking, sun and soft ice cream.
Children's class:
The most important class in the Pumptrack series, for cyclists aged 0-8 years, was once again packed with guts and a great atmosphere. The next generation of mountain bikers demonstrated top-class cycling skills, and everyone who took part was rewarded with cheers and cool prizes.

Results Elite:
"Nothing new is good news", they say - and it was definitely good news in the women's class. Again, again, again, again, again it was the queen of pumptrack, Annika Pettersen, who dominated and took her 5th (fifth!) straight win in the series. In the men's class, there was also a former winner at the top of the podium, as Sixten Simonsen drew the longest straw, just 27/100 sec. ahead of Vegard Johannesen.
Women's final:
Annika Pettersen: 18.668
Hege Haga Idsøe: 19.026
Amalie Osaland: 19.246
Susanne Beijer: 20.011
Joline Johansson: 21.862
Men's final:
Sixten Simonsen: 17.307
Vegard Johannesen: 17.569

Results Junior (9-12 years):
In the junior class, it was once again a duel between brothers for the top positions in the boys' class. In the end, only 2/100ths of a second (2 hundredths!) separated big brother Leander and little brother Emilian Bunes in 1st and 2nd place respectively. The last junior on the podium was Joakim Borgenhov, who took two steps up from 5th place in Nesbyen. In the girls' class there was a duel between Mie Spilleth and Eira Ravnås. The difference between the two became smaller and smaller from the first qualifying round to the final, but Mie Spilleth managed to keep a small lead and thus secure the victory in the final.
Final girls:
Mie Spilleth (10): 26.104
Eira Ravnås (11): 27:018
Final guys:
Leander Bunes (12): 20.023
Emilian Bunes (9): 20.046
Joakim Borgenhov (10): 20.750
Samuel Haugeplass (12): 21.174
Mikkel Svendsen (10): 21.700

Results Open class:
The Hallingdal Pumptrack Series is open to all cyclists - even those who don't care about lap times. Per Wilhelmsson has participated in several rounds of the pumptrack series, and this time he competed in the open class. It was a superb victory that was not far off the final times in the elite class. In the women's class, Renate Svendsen squeezed ahead of the winner from Nesbyen, Eva Spilleth. Renate Ravnås took her second straight podium place.
Women's final:
Renate Svendsen: 25.054
Eva Spilleth: 25.691
Renate Ravnås: 29.054
Men's final:

The next round of the Hallingdal Pumptrack Series takes place at Flå on August 14. The round does not give overall points to the Norwegian Pumptrack Series, but of course there are still prizes, trophies and 5000,- to the winners in the elite class.
Thank you to all the riders, spectators, crew and our phenomenal sponsors, who make the series possible:
